MOSCOW, Jun 16 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gold output rose 9.4% on the year to 39.71 tonnes in January–February, the Finance Ministry said on Tuesday citing the data on supplies to the refining plants.
Mined gold output rose 11.8% to 31.75 tonnes and by-product gold output increased 10.5% to 2.85 tonnes, while gold scrap production fell 3.8% to 5.11 tonnes.
Russia’s silver output increased 1% to 142.3 tonnes in the period. Primary silver production rose 4.8% to 66.02 tonnes, while by-product silver output grew 11.3% to 53.82 tonnes, and production of silver scrap went down 33.9% to 22.46 tonnes.
